Rooty Tooty, Bon Jovi's Fresh and Fruity

We’re off tonight as the Rush take on Jon Bon Jovi’s Philadelphia Soul. Man that Bon Jovi really irritates the hell out of me. This week, he successfully stood us up for our second interview attempt, which doesn’t help our relationship, because I’ve always thought of him as a choch. The only problem is that Choch can really pull in some serious tail. Part of the whole ‘being a rockstar’ thing, I guess. Either way, I’ll be sure to never enjoy another one of his generic psych-em-up rock anthems ever again. Have a nice day.

The weekend was quite eventful, and we definitely have some stories to tell from it. Brendan and I spent a nice little Saturday out at Home Depot of Schaumburg, complete with breakfast at IHOP. I dropped two of my four strips of bacon on the floor accidentally while buttering my pancakes, and was heart broken. Bacon is by far the best part of any breakfast meal. Brendan talked me down of the ledge, even though he acknowledged to me that bacon is “where the flavor explosion happens. It was a very tough loss, but I pressed on.

Jon Bon Jovi did not stand you up, he was never doing an interview with you.
Who are you anyway?

Man, really bummed you guys weren't on tonight.
I've been spreading the word on your show. I believe it's one of the most original and entertaining around. the chicago airwaves have needed someone new and different for a long time. I think one of the cool things your dad did for you was to teach you to think for yourself.
Hey, man, just keep pushing till you become a permanent and daily fixture on the airwaves. In chicago.
bon jovi is a putz. takes himself WAY TOO seriously (how many ghosts riders does it take to make a bon jovi album... we may never know).
rock on,
Brad

Looks like we might have a non-jovial Bon Jovi fan in our midst, Lisa. I’m sorry you took such offense at the words of my blog….but if you’re wondering “Who am I anyways --you tell me, you’re reading the blog.
Brad, we really appreciate the support. We’ll be on the rest of this week, and most of next week. Keep spreading the word! Thanks, Matt.

I've always felt and this is coming from someone who graduated high school the same year Slippery When Wet hit it big, that Bon Jovi was poser rock.
Sadly, while the Poison's and Jackyl's of the world had the good sense to leave us, no one gave the memo to Mr. Bon Jovi.
I have always contended that if Jon Bon Jovi looked like Neil Young no one would listen to him. You don't need to interview the Jov. Just keep bringing on the great radio.
From another De Paul alumnus.

Matt,
At least you are important enough for a Bon Jovi rep. to track you down! While they might not be there...they were definately listening. lol
By the way, could you put a podcast of last Saturday's show up?
Thanks Man
