After the show last night I drove to Michigan to meet up with my brother, Pat, for some late night gambling. I had quite the night there. I became a Blue Chip Prime Rewards player, which means every time you gamble away a considerable amount of money, they give you a few bucks to spend at the concession stand. The main reason I joined up was to get that sweet card on a lanyard you always see the old ladies putting into the slots. I can’t be out gambled by an 80-year-old woman in a wheelchair, huffing off an oxygen tank. By the way, if you ever spot me wheeling my oxygen into the riverboat for some 2am gambling, just cut the tube for me, will ya? In addition to the cool players card with my name on it, I also received a large, novelty size Hershey kiss. I’m stowing that away until Valentine’s Day, so I can reuse the line, “here’s a Huge Kiss�, on some ladies. At this point, I was up on the night, and I hadn’t even sat down at a table. I had the cool players rewards card, a free lanyard, a huge Hershey kiss, and a coupon book good for a free cookie on my next return to the Blue Chip. Why play at all? But I did, and won.
