The Matt Dahl Show On Hiatus For Now

lastshow.jpg

Due to an imminent format change, this past Saturday was our last show on WCKG. I’m not exactly sure what will become of the show now, but I promise you we are doing everything within our power to find another home somewhere in Chicago radio. It has been an unforgettable ride so far, and hopefully it is far from over. Either way, I feel incredibly fortunate to have had this opportunity at WCKG, and I thank everyone who helped us bring the show to where it is now. I guess that’s nowhere, but you know what I mean.

The support from you, the listener, has always been astonishing, and I speak for both Brendan and I when I say, quite sincerely, “Thank you”. Keep checking back with us here at mattdahl.com for updates as to our whereabouts and happenings, and hopefully we’ll be back on the air with you very soon.

p.s. What the hell was up with those Bears Sunday?

Happy Halloween!!

Now this is justice being served.

Some Pictures from U of I

Above is a shot of me doing the infamous, record-breaking, 42 second keg stand. Below, Brendan and I awkwardly pose on the side of a car after being left out of the group shots due to our lack of orange t-shirts. In retrospect, probably should have brough some orange with us.

The Baby Bears

I guess I feel like a bit of a traitor, but I’ve officially bet on the Cubs for tonight’s game. I’m not going large or anything, just a simple $20 to make $22 kind of deal. Brendan and I are heading out after the show to watch the game, and I figured this way, with my own money on the line, I could figure out a way to maybe even cheer for the Cubs---just a little. It certainly isn’t easy being a baseball fan in a city with two teams. I feel like I’m cheating on the Sox by extending any excitement towards the Cubs’ playoff run, However, the way I see it, it’s kind of like my girlfriend (the White Sox) decided to stay in tonight and catch up on their Grey’s, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t get my grind on with the hot little number in the red and blue pinstripes. Or something like that…

Brendo and I are heading to a local establishment we are trying to become regulars at. I’m not really sure why we want to be recognized as regulars, since there’s really not much that comes out of the deal, but maybe someday we can have our picture hung up above our favorite stools. Who knows, maybe they could even add a Matt-tini or Brendan-tini to the cocktail menu.
