Super Tuesday

It's Super Tuesday, and we've got another Super Show to go along with your primary elections.
I haven't decided if I'm going to vote or not today, although I know I'd like to. Not because I'm particularly invested in one candidate, or I feel strongly on any particular issue, but mainly because I enjoy the kindly old ladies that sign me in at my local polling place. I vote at a really small church out by house, and I'm willing to bet that the ladies who administer the ballots there have been doing their job for almost 100 years. More than anyone else in town, they have their wrinkled, arthritic, and boney fingers on the pulse of our small little city. They know everyone who comes in to vote by name, and can recall the last time you decided to participate in this little thing we call 'Democracy'. I always feel as though I'm making them proud, as if I'm saving face for an entire generation of MTV watching, Xbox playing, lazy young Americans. I'm sure if things weren't so formal at the polling place, they'd want to squeeze my cheeks and give me a butterscotch candy to suck on, and I, in return, would want to run my fingers through their cotton-like tufts of hair. But when it comes to politics, we keep it just that, political. They know I love them.

We need to get everyone to vote, so we can get candidates to at least acknowledge global warming, decaying streets, and road salt in my shoe. This winter is kicking my ass!

Here's a little more context for the "I Drink Your Milkshake" scene that Brendan was so obsessed with yesterday:
