Greetings from the Rockies
Here's a shot I took with my iPhone while making my descent into Eagle County/Vail Colorado yesterday. I was on a twin-prop plane with 10 other people, and had the sexiest military babe pilot I've ever seen on a plane. She even had that sweet USO, Rosie the Riveter kind of haircut under her captains hat. Needless to say, the flight was ripe with my own mile high fantasies.
Last night we went to a local brewery, and because we weren't all wearing those pants you can zip off into shorts at a moments notice with those weird mountain climby sandals, the locals had us pegged as out-of-towners instantly. I found it bizarre that all the locals were drinking Budweisers instead of tapping the Rockies with the local delicacy, Coors. Maybe that's what the tourists do, come here and drink Coors. We're still feeling it out.
I'll try to keep posting pictures and stories here as often as I can, so keep checking back for some updates from Colorado.
Here's a shot of the red rocks I got from the airplane as well. The shot is a bit grainy because of the dirty, thick airline window that's in the way, but I think the way the camera captured the propeller is pretty cool.

I went sking at beaver creek not too long ago! they were all snowboarders and insisted on telling me why boarding is so much cooler. The second we got on the hill my buddie said to me (as a skier walks by) "thats another reason you shouldnt ski, you look totally gay trying to walk". But i have the same mentality, i know how to ski so ill stick with that rether than hittn some trees! have fun and hope there was no need for a mouth gaurd.

Sounds like a blast so far, Matt! Awesome pic of the prop, and try to get a photo of the hot pilot if you get her again on the flight back!

dude, that approach into EGE is sick! Its always a blast- UAL flies an Airbus nonstop from O'Hare and AA flies the 757 there nonstop. Looks like you were on the Dash-8 from DEN- great shot of the tips of the turbo props. FYI, the 2008-2009 vail season pass just went on sale... Epicpass.com
