We're back live on the wires this afternoon at 12pm, and the podcast will resume as well. I haven't seen Brendan in over a week, and we've got plenty to talk about. Since our last visit I went to the Rocky Mountains, we both celebrated St. Patrick's Day, and Brendan finally put the finishing touches on his Lindsay Lohan photo mosaic. It's a passion of his.

I guess today is actually the 'official' St. Patrick's Day, so, HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! I myself am a little bit Irish, but I've always been a believer in the holiday magic. In first grade, I caught a leprechaun in my homemade leprechaun catching machine. It was another mentally demanding class project, and I nailed it. Here was my setup:

A shoebox, covered in green construction paper to simulate the look and feel of soft, leprechaun inciting grass, is fitted with a large hole in the center of the lid. On one side of the hole is the bait. While some say the worm is best, I find the pot-o-gold can't be beat when it comes to catching really nice leprechauns. Over the hole you place some construction paper, also made to look like grass, but you don't secure it to the box. This way, when the leprechaun inevitably goes for the pot-o-gold, he/she falls through the hole, and is trapped in the box.

While I did not actually catch a physical leprechaun, I know he fell in my trap due to the trail of gold glitter I found the next day in class, in addition to the gold coins made of chocolate he left in the bottom of the trap. I've always been an advocate of the catch and release method of catching Leprechauns. Best of luck.
